Great staff and very knowledgeable doctors. I first saw Dr. Nawrocki, and then when I got a diagnosis, she referred me to Dr. Al-Hasani since he is more familiar with the condition. I feel lucky to have found this place! It’s also convenient to be able to get early appointments before work.

Ally the PA at this practice was lovely - great bedside manner, clinical knowledge and incredibly thorough. The staff here from check in to check out are always very pleasant and helpful as well. Beautiful practice I purposely drive into the city to continue to visit and will be requesting to see Ally from now on :)

I originally came to Dermatology Institute of Boston for concerns with rosacea and redness. Ashton was amazing and helped curate a daily skincare routine to fit my specific needs. My skin has drastically changed in the last few months thanks to the treatment offered to me at this office. Very pleased with my experience and would highly recommend.

I just had an appointment here that was such a horrible experience that I will never return. I went to get some warts removed from my hands. First, this practice repeatedly failed to use my preferred name. I filled out uncountable pieces of paperwork, and put my preferred name on every one. Sometimes insurance forms can need specific information, I get it. But these forms always at least leave space for a preferred name. Further, this practice had its own paperwork that asked for preferred name, which I gave. Not once was it used. Never. Not at the check in desk, after I signed up for my appointment using my preferred name. Not when I was being called back into my appointment after filling out my preferred name on multiple pieces of paperwork. Not in the exam room. Not at check out. Not after correcting people at all of these steps! Next, it took an unacceptable amount of time to be seen. After filling out my intake paperwork and handing it back to the desk, I watched 5 other patients who arrived after me be brought back into their appointments. It took 30 minutes between me giving my intake paperwork to the desk, and getting called back. That's an unacceptable wait time. My time is just as valuable as yours. Third, the treatment was mishandled. The provider I saw went straight into discussing treatment, which is fine. He was clearly running behind, so no reason to beat around the bush--I get it. This is not the first dermatologist I've seen for a wart, so it's surprising to me that with no inspection of my skin, no extra lights, no magnification, or any visual assistance at all, he begins treating my hand with liquid nitrogen (which is painful, but the fact that the treatment hurts not his fault). What is his fault, however, is that he applied it so aggressively without checking in at all. I began to pass out, and sat back, and said out loud that I was passing out. He asked the medical assistant to get some apple juice and water, and she left to go get it. It is at this point I believe I lost consciousness for a second. While I was still woozy and regaining my bearings, the doctor says "Let me get started on that other hand." The medical assistant had not yet returned with apple juice, and he just starts scraping the skin off of my other hand and getting ready to spray it with liquid nitrogen. At this point, I am still not fully conscious. The medical assistant returns with the apple juice, and he just starts talking at her--doesn't even give her a chance to give me the juice. Then, once all the treatment had finished, he tells me I am going to get "all wrapped up" because I am bleeding. The medical assistant then takes one of those big bandaids, doesn't add any extra gauze or padding, and sticks it on the back of my hand, on top of the area he just treated. Yes, you read that correctly, she's just put the adhesive from a bandaid on my open wounds and blisters. Once I got home and soaked the bandaid off, and inspected the site, it comes to my attention that he didn't even treat all of the spots that needed it. There are at least two completely untouched, untreated spots on my had that are obvious to the naked eye that he didn't address at all. The entire appointment felt rushed and the treatment was undoubtedly mishandled. I will never have another appointment here, and I will be recommending anyone who asks me to any other practice. Edit to add: the provider I saw was Ashton Frulla, MSN, NP-C, DCNP

Dr. Neelam Vashi has strong clinical expertise, but a more patient-centered approach around reassurance and follow-up would improve the overall experience. All my appointments so far tend to feel rushed, especially toward the end. While questions are answered when asked, otherwise there is no proactive check-in or reassurance after the procedure. In several sessions, certain areas of treatment required clarification or confirmation to ensure they were included in the procedure, which has created unnecessary anxiety and left us questioning whether everything has been fully addressed. For dermatology treatments—particularly those involving visible areas of the skin—patients naturally feel anxious, and even a few minutes of explanation or reassurance can make a significant difference in comfort and confidence.
