I'm in my forties with two boys, who are 12 and 10. My last pregnancy left me with a lot of loose skin around my navel, as well as diastasis recti. I've always been fairly lean, around 132lbs at 5' 6". My loose skin was s source of confidence loss for me, having to look for clothes and swimwear that cover the area around my navel. His staff explained the logistics, which was all new to me as I have never had elective surgery before. Surgery is not new to me though - I've had couple of ACL reconstructions and a C-section, so well aware of the risks and side effects that come with surgery. My lymphatic drainage massage specialist (who has about twenty years experience in post-op recovery) commented that my tummy tuck is one of the best she's seen and asked for Dr Fan's details to pass on to her other clients. For anyone considering a tummy tuck, I'd definitely recommend doing that initial consult at least. The recovery process is not easy, and finally at 1.5 weeks, I'm feeling more normal and much less pain/ache. I am already pretty sure it is well worth it, and cannot wait for full recovery!
